Maple Bacon Poutine

It's maple season! And what better way to celebrate this traditional flavour than with a good ol’ poutine? Here we’ve upgraded the classic recipe with tasty Armstrong NIBBLERS® Natural Cheese Snacks and maple candied bacon slices, for the perfect sweet and savoury balance. Get ready to indulge!

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Spread the bacon slices on a baking sheet, ideally fitted with a wire rack.
  3. Drizzle about a tablespoon of maple syrup over each slice, then cook for about 15 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and caramelized. Set aside.
  4. Meanwhile, reheat the fries (a few minutes in the air fryer should suffice!) and arrange them on a deep plate.
  5. Generously top the fries with NIBBLERS®—one bag is perfect for two or three people!
  6. Cut the bacon slices into pieces and sprinkle over fries.
  7. Reheat the gravy, then pour a ladle over the ingredients.
  8. And for the finishing touch: drizzle a bit of maple syrup all over the poutine and enjoy!
