This flavourful, time-saving, shredded cheese is perfect for omelets, loaded baked potatoes, casseroles or as a salad topper!
Ingredients
- 250 ml (1 cup) fresh spinach, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) sour cream
- 8 oz (1 pack) cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 1/2 cup Armstrong Mmmm...Bacon Shredded Cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- A few drops Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- Hot sauce, to taste (optional)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF).
- In an oven-ready 9-inch pan, mix the spinach, garlic, onion, sour cream, cream cheese, 1 cup of Armstrong Mmmm...Bacon shredded cheese, Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt and black pepper, with hot sauce (optional). Mix well.
- Sprinkle the remaining Armstrong cheese on top.
- Cook in the oven for 20 to 22 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese turns golden.
- Garnish with crumbled cooked bacon, and serve hot with toasted baguette, vegetables, crackers or chips.
