Grilled Cheese with Pulled Pork and Medium Cheddar Cheese

Even gourmet restaurants are giving good old grilled cheese sandwiches a spin these days. And for good reason! This easy-to-prepare meal is also a delightfully delicious treat. Get with the trend and try this pulled pork grilled cheese recipe, using Medium Cheddar Cheese. Cheese is the star of the show here. It needs to be smooth, tasty, and meltingly soft, all at once.

Ingredients

  • 60 mL (4 tbsp) butter
  • 8 slices homestyle bread
  • 8 slices Armstrong Medium Cheddar Cheese
  • 500 mL (2 cups) store-bought pulled pork

Directions

  1. On a work surface, butter the slices of bread.
  2. Place a slice of Armstrong Medium Cheddar Cheese on the non-buttered side of 4 of the slices of bread. Top with pulled pork and then with a second slice of cheddar.
  3. Cover each grilled cheese half with the other slice of bread, buttered side up.
  4. In a large pan over medium-low heat, cook each grilled cheese on a knob of butter, 4 minutes on each side.
